To Attract the All-Attractive
In contrast to the concept of an "all-mighty God", it's easy to love a God who loves us back.
Sometimes we come across someone we find impressive or attractive (platonically or otherwise), but then time reveals that they don’t treat others with respect. Celebrities can often disappoint in this regard. At that point, at least to any sensible person, they become repulsive despite their charm or skill.
But Kṛṣṇa is the most attractive, and he offers sacred sweetness to everyone who sincerely approaches him. This is something all devotees experience from time to time but eventually becomes what life is all about as our hearts become more absorbed by hearing and service.
Anartha-nivṛtti (withdrawal from unwanted things in the heart) is more about artha-pravṛtti (cultivation of wanted things in the heart). Of all the things we can have in our hearts, longing for Kṛṣṇa is the most satisfying. This attracts the most-attractive to us. Just look at how enamoured Kṛṣṇa is with the residents of Vṛndāvana.

vidhunoti suhṛt satāmŚrī Kṛṣṇa, the Personality of Godhead, who is the Paramātmā [Supersoul] in everyone’s heart and the benefactor of the truthful devotee, cleanses desire for material enjoyment from the heart of the devotee who has developed the urge to hear His messages, which are in themselves virtuous when properly heard and chanted.
